Section 1

Getting started

What setup actually involves and how quickly you can be running.

How long does it take to set up The Quick Repairs?

Most shops are booking real jobs the same day. You add your common repair types with prices, import or enter your customers, and start. There is no server to install and no hardware to wait for.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs in a web browser on the computers, tablets and phones you already own. That also means an engineer on a callout uses the same system as the counter.

Can I import my existing customers and stock?

Yes. Customer lists and inventory can be imported so you start with what you have built up rather than an empty database.

Should I move my old repair history across?

Usually not, and we will say so. Bring customers and stock; leave historical job records where they are for reference. Migrating years of old tickets costs far more time than it saves.

Is there training or onboarding help?

The demo walks through setup with your own repair types and prices, and support is available while you get going. Most teams need less help than they expect — the flow follows how a shop already works.

Section 2

Features and workflow

What the system does across repairs, stock, customers and reporting.

Does fitting a part to a repair update my stock?

Yes, and this is the single most important thing to check in any repair software. Adding a part to a ticket decrements inventory and adds the part to the invoice in the same action, so stock and billing cannot drift apart.

Can I track repairs across multiple technicians?

Tickets are assigned to technicians, each of whom sees their own queue. Jobs can be reassigned mid-repair and the full history stays on one record.

Can customers be notified automatically?

Status changes can trigger a message, so customers hear when a job is diagnosed, approved or ready to collect without phoning the shop.

Does it handle retail sales as well as repairs?

Yes. Accessories, cables and refurbished devices check out through the same POS as repairs, drawing on the same inventory.

Is warranty tracked on parts I fit?

Each fitted part carries its own warranty period on the ticket, so when a customer returns you can see immediately whether the work is still covered.

Can I run more than one shop?

Multiple locations are supported, each with its own stock and staff, sharing one customer database. Reporting works per store or across the group.

Does it work for on-site and field work?

Jobs can be booked as bench work or as scheduled site visits, and engineers update them from a phone browser. Shops doing both run them in one queue.

Section 3

Pricing and billing

What it costs, what is included, and what happens if you leave.

How much does The Quick Repairs cost?

Plans start from a small monthly fee per shop, with a discount for paying annually. Current prices are on the pricing page — we keep them public rather than quoting on request.

Is there a free trial or demo?

You can book a free demo with no card required. It is a walkthrough on your own workflow rather than a generic recording.

Are all features included in every plan?

The core workflow — tickets, POS, inventory, CRM, invoicing and reporting — is in every plan. Higher plans add capacity and the multi-store and advanced reporting capabilities.

Is there a setup fee or a long contract?

No setup fee. Monthly plans can be cancelled; annual plans are discounted in exchange for the commitment.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

It is yours. Customer, job and stock data can be exported so you leave with your records. Ask any vendor this before you sign, not after.

Which currencies do you support?

Currency and tax rates are configurable, so invoices are correct for the market you trade in.

Section 4

Data and security

Where your data lives and who can reach it.

Who can see my customer data?

Access is behind an authenticated login with role-based permissions, so counter staff, technicians and managers each see what their role allows.

Are my records backed up?

Data is held on managed hosting with regular backups, which is a meaningful difference from a spreadsheet on one machine or a filing cabinet.

Can I restrict who issues refunds and discounts?

Yes. Roles control which actions a user can take, and activity is attributed to the account that performed it, so there is an audit trail.

Do you sell or share customer data?

No. The customer records you build belong to your business and are not shared with third parties.

Section 5

Is it right for my shop?

Where it fits well — and where it honestly does not.

Is it worth it for a one-person shop?

Sometimes not, and we would rather be straight about it. If you do a handful of jobs a week and hold no parts stock, a spreadsheet is fine. The maths changes once you employ someone, carry inventory, or start handling warranty returns.

Which types of repair business does it suit?

It is used across 15+ trades, including computer and laptop workshops, tablet and smartwatch specialists, appliance and HVAC engineers, console and audio repair, drones and industrial equipment servicing.

Can I run several different repair types in one shop?

Yes. Mixed workshops handling phones, laptops and consoles side by side run on a single queue, with device types and pricing configured per repair type.

What if my workflow does not match the default?

Repair statuses follow your own workflow rather than a fixed set, so the queue reflects how your shop actually runs.

What is the biggest reason shops switch?

In most cases it is stock accuracy, closely followed by labour that never reached an invoice. Both cost real money every month and neither is obvious until it is measured.
